ADMISSION CHECKLIST

  • Schedule a tour
  • Complete the Online Application which includes:
    • Paying non-refundable application fee
    • Providing birth certificate
    • Providing current immunization records
    • Providing most recent report card (1st – 12th Grade)
    • Providing current IEP or Education Evaluation
    • Providing standardized test scores
    • Providing official custody record (if applicable)
    • Providing Educational, Diagnostic, and/or Psychological Evaluation Results (if applicable)
    • Providing contact information for pastoral and personal reference (6th – 12th Grade)
  • Complete scheduled academic placement test
  • Receive reference from most recent school official (6th – 12th Grade)
  • Provide list of high school courses taken (10th – 12th Grade)
  • Parent and student interview with school administrator (6th – 12th Grade)
  • Complete student questionnaire during interview process (6th – 12th Grade)
  • Parents notified of acceptance decision
  • Complete Online Enrollment Packet (upon acceptance only)

ADMISSION CRITERIA

  • A credible profession of faith in Jesus Christ on the part of at least one parent of the prospective student.
  • Prospective students entering 6th – 12th grade must be able to express a personal salvation experience and have a clear testimony for Christ.
  • A membership in, and/or regular attendance at, a church in which the Bible is sincerely believed and faithfully taught.
  • An understanding of, and agreement with, the purpose of Faith Christian Academy to provide children with a God-centered education in which Jesus Christ is acknowledged in every area of life.
  • A commitment on the part of the parents to support the work of Faith Christian Academy’s program based on past records, entrance tests, and interviews.
  • Prospective students give evidence of emotional stability, satisfactory behavior, and adequate social adjustment.

HELPFUL INFORMATION

  • The online application must be completed in full and submitted to the school office before a student will be considered for enrollment.
  • On the application is a Statement of Cooperation. It is imperative parents and students understand those remarks and determine to uphold the standards, agreements, and guidelines stated in the forms, handbooks, and discipline guide.
  • The final decision for admitting students will be determined by the Administrator. 
  • Since we believe it is difficult to give a Christian education in just three years, we use discernment when admitting students from public schools after the 9th grade. These students are accepted based on approval from the Administrator, Pastor, School Board, and a recommendation from the prospective students’ pastor.
  • Students entering 6th – 12th grade who desire to enroll at Faith Christian Academy must be a born again, saved, and baptized individual. They must be able to express their salvation experience and have a clear testimony for Christ. These students will be asked to have a pastor’s recommendation form completed by their pastor or youth pastor.
  • Faith Christian Academy does typically accept students in their senior year of high school. Exceptions are rare and must be approved by the the Administrator, Pastor, and School Board.
