FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 18, 2019
Goldsboro, N.C. – On behalf of Faith Christian Academy, the FCA School Advisory Board is pleased to announce that Kaleatha (Kally) Roberts has been named Faith Christian Academy’s Head of School, effective July 1, 2019.
On January 14, all FCA stakeholders were informed of the administrative transition that would be taking place at the end of the 2018–2019 school year. We want to thank those who have prayed and supported FCA during this transition.
Ms. Roberts brings nearly sixteen years of experience as an educator. For the past five years, she has been the Elementary/Preschool Principal at Alamance Christian School in Graham, N.C.
Ms. Roberts has prepared herself academically and is educationally qualified to be FCA’s Head of School. Ms. Roberts has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and an additional Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Tennessee Temple University. In 2008, she earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and in 2011 she earned an additional post-graduate degree—an Education Specialist in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University. Currently, Ms. Roberts is finishing her dissertation to complete a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
The appointment of Ms. Roberts marks the end of a thorough head of school search that started at the beginning of 2019. The FCA School Advisory Board served as the search committee and reviewed candidate profiles of several individuals during the last few months. As part of the candidate process, Ms. Roberts completed all the tasks to be considered for the position. After she completed all required information, members of the board met with Ms. Roberts on multiple occasions. In addition, Ms. Roberts’s colleagues and references were contacted, and they spoke with confidence and respect regarding her leadership abilities, her effectiveness in connecting with an entire school’s constituents, her focus on goals, and her ability to inspire and motivate school faculty members.
We are happy to secure a leader with Ms. Roberts’s leadership and collaborative abilities, her academic credentials, integrity, and passion for K–12 Christian education. Her dedication to students and their learning, her implementation of critical thinking curriculum, and her passion and expertise working with teachers were qualities that we felt were essential.
Ms. Roberts is excited God has led her to FCA and wants faculty members, parents, and students to know that she looks forward to partnering with everyone to ensure FCA’s success. When Ms. Roberts was asked about her initial vision and goals for FCA, she communicated the following:
Thank you again for your support during this process. We are excited for each person to get to know Ms. Roberts and to welcome her to Goldsboro and FCA. Please join with us in supporting this transition for FCA, and we look forward to a great start to the school year in a couple of months.
