A Foundation of Faith. A Tradition of Excellence.
Today, in the wake of alarming trends in public schools, parents are becoming increasingly concerned about their children’s education. Many decades ago we decided to address this situation and began Faith Christian Academy in Goldsboro, NC. At FCA, we strive to make disciples of Jesus Christ who are prepared to enter their mission field upon graduation. We take seriously our role to train the hearts and mind of all our students, and we seek to prepare each high school student for the vocation and calling that God has on their life. Our faculty and staff are passionate about developing the character and intelligence of each student in order to impact Wayne County and the world. Our graduates are scattered all over the nation using the skills and character they learned at FCA to fulfill the purpose that God has for their lives.
Biblical Emphasis
At Faith Christian Academy, every teacher is a committed Christian, who cares not only for the students’ academic needs, but also their spiritual needs. All subjects, therefore, are taught so that every student develops a thorough Biblical worldview. Whether it is in Biology or English Literature, students learn what the Bible says about practical issues of life. Bible class meets four times a week in a normal classroom setting.
Every Wednesday, high school students meet in the auditorium for chapel. Chapel is family time for the entire high school. Messages from the church pastoral staff and various pastors in the community are designed to address the needs of hearts of the student body. As students and faculty member’s hearts hear God’s word, we are better able to apply His will to our lives!
Preparation for the Future
High school students use eBooks to assist in preparation for a technologically based society. Various forms of technology are not just used for the sake of use at FCA. Technology is a tool that enhances the learning experience. Students take the PSAT in the 10th and 11th grade. Juniors at FCA that take the SAT average the same score as freshman entering college. The academics of the Academy prepare each student for whatever God’s calling is on their life.
Dual Credit Enrollment
FCA understands the demand for beginning the higher education experience while students are in high school. We currently have a partnership with Wayne Community College that will afford students in the 11th and 12th grades to receive high school and college credits.
