Thankfully, the Opportunity Scholarship helps families pay tuition and fees for schools like Faith Christian Academy, a private school in Goldsboro, NC. For the 2024-2025 school year, the Opportunity Scholarship pays up to $7,468 for families that qualify. Figuring out whether or not your family qualifies for the scholarship can be a complicated process. We’re here to simplify that for you!
According to the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority (NCSEAA), students must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Opportunity Scholarship:
- Be at least 5 years old by August 31, or at least 4 years old by April 16 and approved for Kindergarten according to state guidelines
- Live in North Carolina
- Have not graduated from high school
- Have not enrolled in a post-secondary institution full-time
Review the Household Income Eligibility Guidelines to see how much scholarship funds you may be awarded! Next, create your account to apply. Applications will be . Faith Christian Academy will be notified that you have applied for the Opportunity Scholarship. If awarded, you must verify and accept the funds through the account you created by July 1st. This step is imperative! If you do not verify and accept the funds, you will lose the scholarship. Those who have been waitlisted will then be notified and may receive your funds.
